Russia struck Zaporizhzhia on New Year's Eve, resulting in homes being set ablaze.

On New Year's Eve, from December 31 to January 1, Russian occupation forces struck Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

"As a result of the enemy attack, several private houses are on fire in one of the settlements in the region. Rescuers have saved a woman," Fedorov wrote.

He specified that emergency services are working at the site of the impact.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force advised the residents of Zaporizhzhia to take shelter.

According to military sources, at that time, the Russians launched strike drones over Zaporizhzhia.

It is noteworthy that this was the sixth air raid alert in the region on December 31.

Recall that on December 31, military expert Vladislav Seleznev stated that the Russian Armed Forces may launch an attack during the New Year holidays.
