On the night of January 3, Russians attacked Ukrainian cities with 93 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones launched from Bryansk, Millerovo, and Oryol. This information is provided by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The air assault was reportedly countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
It has already been confirmed that 60 drones were shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Due to the active resistance of the Defense Forces, 26 imitation drones were locally lost, and one was downed in the air.
According to the Air Force, several strikes by the strike drones hit private enterprises and apartment buildings in the Donetsk and Chernihiv regions. The downed Shaheds also caused damage in Kyiv region: private homes and vehicles were damaged in several areas, resulting in one fatality and injuries.
In the Koryukivka district, as reported by the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, three explosions were recorded due to the fall of strike drones of the "Geran-2" type. Two hangars and two cargo vehicles were damaged.
As reported by the Sumy Regional State Administration, this morning, December 3, a private residential house was damaged due to the fall of drone debris.
According to information from the local publication "Kordon.Media," the Kuzmin family, who reside in the house, sought medical assistance for carbon monoxide poisoning following the fire caused by the drone's fall.
As a reminder, in Kyiv region, one person died and four were injured due to the fall of drone debris.
