The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution that increases the amount of state benefits for unemployed individuals in certain categories. The increase is by 1,100 UAH. On October 18, the government press service announced resolution No. 74 dated September 19, 2024, issued by the Fund for Mandatory State Social Insurance. This decision pertains to amendments to the law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Social Insurance in case of unemployment", specifically regarding its final provisions. The document from the Social Insurance Fund states that starting from October 1, payments for three categories of citizens will increase from 2,500 UAH to 3,600 UAH. Officials also reminded Ukrainians that they are entitled to unemployment benefits for 90 days. For citizens approaching retirement age (two years before reaching pension), they will be allowed to receive state assistance for up to 360 days.
It is worth noting that on October 16, the Pension Fund warned that some working pensioners are receiving illegal payments from the state and cautioned that individuals have 10 days to rectify the situation.
