Hit a pedestrian and fled: the culprit of a fatal accident has been apprehended in Kryvyi Rih.

Kryvyi Rih investigators have sent a case to court concerning a driver who fatally struck a man and fled the scene. This information was reported by "Vidomo," citing the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The police received a report about the discovery of a man's body in the middle of the road on Vadym Huriv Street in the Metallurgical District during the night of October 8.

It has been established that a 53-year-old driver hit the pedestrian.

The suspect was detained in accordance with legal procedures. Investigators, in coordination with the Kryvyi Rih Central District Prosecutor's Office, informed the offender of the charges under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and chose a preventive measure in the form of custody.

Currently, the indictment against the perpetrator of the traffic accident has been sent to court for a decision.
