In the waiting area for military personnel at the Kyiv railway station, a Russian series was playing loudly, watched by one of the staff members. Military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and writer Ostap Ukrainian reported the incident and received a prompt response from "Ukrzaliznytsia." Ostap shared the details of the language scandal on his Facebook page.
Ostap Ukrainian's post appeared on November 17. The serviceman reported an incident that occurred at the central railway station in Kyiv around 19:00-19:30. It turned out that the employee was watching a Russian series, and the sound echoed throughout the waiting area where military personnel were waiting for their trains. Ukrainian chose not to intervene, as he felt he "didn't have the strength." Instead, he wrote about the incident on social media, tagging "Ukrzaliznytsia" on both Facebook and X (Twitter). The post garnered over two thousand reactions and nearly a hundred comments, according to the author's page.
In one of his subsequent messages, Ostap mentioned that he had already received a response from "Ukrzaliznytsia." A company representative on Facebook stated that both watching series during work and viewing series in Russian are unacceptable. Additionally, it was noted that they registered inquiry №1452689, will investigate the situation, and there will be "disciplinary measures." From the message on X, the exact time of the incident can be found, as it appeared at 18:46 on November 17.
As of now, there has been no response from "Ukrzaliznytsia" on their Facebook page regarding Ostap Ukrainian's message about the Russian series in the waiting area for military personnel at the Kyiv station.
We remind you that on November 5, a language scandal occurred in a Kyiv bookstore: a man confronted a woman who made a remark about loud communication in Russian.
