Трамп сообщил, что совместно с Путиным может достичь "значительных" результатов в прекращении конфликта: подробности.

The newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he could work with Russian President Vladimir Putin to achieve something "significant" to end the Russia-Ukraine war. He mentioned that his team has already had "serious discussions" with Russia regarding the war in Ukraine, and that they may soon undertake "serious" measures to bring it to a close. This was reported on February 1 by AP News.

"We will talk, and I think we may do something important," Trump said during a conversation with journalists.

The U.S. President also noted that there would not have been a war during his presidency. At the same time, he claims he plans to "put an end" to Russian aggression in Ukraine.

"This war would not have started if I were president," Trump stated.

Moreover, the newly elected U.S. President has not yet provided any details regarding contacts with the Russians. He did not answer journalists on who from his administration has already spoken with the Russian side but confirmed that such "negotiations" have indeed taken place.

As for Donald Trump's direct conversation with Vladimir Putin, journalists inquired about this as well. However, the U.S. President chose not to disclose any details at this time.

"I don’t want to talk about that," he replied to the journalists.

At the same time, it is known that negotiations between Ukraine and Trump’s team may take place as early as February. This is likely to happen during the Ukrainian Week in Washington, as mentioned by Servant of the People MP David Arakhamia on January 21.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had stated that a "fair opportunity" for negotiations with Russia would be the return of Russian armed forces to the positions they held before February 24, 2022. The head of state expressed these thoughts on January 23.
