On the eve of the New Year, Ukrainians are participating in a flash mob by exchanging postcards from different cities. Details were shared on December 30 in the social networks of the resistance movement in temporarily occupied territories, "Yellow Ribbon."

Before the holiday, a video supporting partisan resistance during the temporary occupation went viral. Following this, the flash mob "Celebrating in Ukrainian Time" began to gain momentum. People in Ukrainian-controlled cities are sending greetings to those currently living in territories captured by the enemy.

"Thank you for your warm words! In unity, there is our strength," emphasized the "Yellow Ribbon."

Representatives of the movement shared that they are "very touched by the level of support, understanding, and love" shown by the participants of the flash mob. They highlighted that this is how Ukrainians demonstrate that those in occupation matter.

"They are resisting and waiting for Ukraine's return," noted the activists.

From the published photos, it is clear that flash mob participants are posting New Year postcards at landmarks in their cities. The postcards state that the Ukrainian-controlled city where the photo's author lives is celebrating together with another city currently under occupation. Additionally, people add a few warm words of support, and the postcards themselves are decorated with thematic drawings.

It is worth noting that on December 30, 189 citizens were returned from Russian captivity to Ukraine. Two of them are civilians who were captured in Mariupol. Among the freed soldiers are defenders of "Azovstal," the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and Snake Island.

In "Opendatabot," they analyzed where in Ukraine this year the highest-priced Christmas trees are being sold. In total, in 2024, forestry enterprises grew more than a million New Year trees, with over half of them being pines.
