Murder at a hotel in Kyiv: suspect has been identified, details revealed (photos)

In a hotel in Pechersk, Kyiv, a conflict between two groups of men ended in a tragic shooting. Law enforcement officials reported suspicions of hooliganism involving firearms against two men, and one of them is also suspected of intentional murder. This was announced by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Monday, November 25.

The incident occurred on the night of November 23, around 00:30. A quarrel erupted between the two groups at one of the hotels in Pechersk, rapidly escalating into a fight.

According to the investigation, one of the participants pulled out a gun and opened fire. As a result, the hotel security guard and two men sustained chest injuries.

One of the injured, a hotel resident, died at the scene. His acquaintance and the security guard were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement officers detained two suspects, residents of Dnipro and Vasylkiv, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. They are charged with hooliganism involving weapons (part 2, 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The man from Vasylkiv is also suspected of intentional murder (part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing, led by the Pechersk Police Department. Additionally, measures are being considered regarding the detention of the suspects.

Recall that on November 23, at the Sky Loft hotel in the capital, a 27-year-old man died as a result of the shooting, while two others were hospitalized. Police began searching for the shooter, who fled the scene. According to media reports, he was identified as 30-year-old Dmitry Rashevsky, a sports master in Muay Thai with a criminal background. He is originally from Zaporizhia but resides in Vasylkiv.

On November 24, a fight involving law enforcement and civilians occurred in Kovel. One of the police officers fired a warning shot into the air.
