Starting in 2025, Ukrainian teachers will receive a monthly supplement of 1000 hryvnias. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
From the beginning of next year, educators will receive a monthly payment of one thousand hryvnias as part of the "Winter Support" program — the "Teacher's Supplement."
Beginning in January, all teachers will receive an additional monthly payment of 1000 UAH. And from September 1, this amount will increase to 2000 UAH. The government has allocated a subsidy of 4.6 billion hryvnias for the first half of the year for this program.
Shmyhal emphasized that teachers will receive the funds "in hand," meaning that this amount will remain after tax deductions.
"This year, we have paid special attention to safety and the development of education in all regions. Overall, the government has allocated 7.5 billion UAH to create safe conditions in educational institutions and to construct shelters," the head of government stated.
Additionally, 1.2 billion UAH is allocated for the purchase of school buses. Furthermore, 8 billion UAH is designated for a program providing free hot meals for younger students.
In 2025, 305 million UAH in subsidies will be directed towards supporting children with special educational needs. A further 150 million UAH in subsidies is allocated for regions to enhance teacher training.
It is worth noting that already 2 million Ukrainians have received 1000 UAH as part of the "Winter Support."
