Updated information regarding the aftermath of the strike on Zaporizhzhia has appeared on the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service (SES) at 7:39. The report states that the number of casualties remains unchanged: Russians killed 13 peaceful Ukrainians. According to SES data, 113 individuals sustained injuries, including one child. The condition of the injured has not been disclosed by the rescuers.

Russian aerial bombs damaged four administrative buildings and 28 vehicles — 27 cars and one tram, the service reported.

"Emergency and rescue operations have been completed," SES summarized.

Russia shelled Zaporizhzhia — situation as of January 9

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported the number of people who sought medical assistance. According to military administration data, this number is 59. Fedorov stated that ten victims of the Russian shelling are in serious condition.

On the morning of January 9, the National Police added details about the situation in Zaporizhzhia following the Russian bomb strike. In a Telegram channel, the agency clarified that the injured child is a girl aged 13-14 (born in 2011). It was also noted that 36 vehicles were damaged: in addition to the tram and cars, two minivans were destroyed. Besides the administrative buildings reported by SES, there are also damages in a residential high-rise.
