Ukraine's exports rose to $41 billion in 2024: key products sold.

In 2024, Ukraine's goods exports experienced significant growth. In monetary terms, it rose by 13.4%, reaching $41 billion, while in weight, it increased by 28.8%, totaling 129.3 million tons. This is compared to 100.3 million tons and $36.1 billion in 2023.

Key Growth Factors:

  1. Normalization of maritime port operations: in 2024, Ukraine exported 87.2 million tons of goods by sea, significantly more than 54.8 million tons in 2023.

  2. Changes in transportation structure: despite a decrease in the volume of road freight in weight, the value of goods transported by road increased to $14.5 billion.

Main Trading Partners of Ukraine:

The European Union remained the key partner, with exports totaling $24.5 billion (which is $1 billion more than in 2023).

Outside the EU, significant partners included:

  • China$2.3 billion,
  • Turkey$2.1 billion,
  • Egypt$1.6 billion,
  • India$986 million,
  • Moldova$935 million.

Export Leaders of 2024:

  1. Sunflower oil – exports exceeding $5 billion.
  2. Sunflower mealover $1 billion.
  3. Poultry meat$945 million.
  4. Sugar$408 million.
  5. Soybean oil$311 million.

Recovery of Metallurgical Exports:

  • Iron semi-finished products – $927.5 million,
  • Hot-rolled products – $802 million,
  • Cast iron – $500 million,
  • Pipes – $577 million.

Raw Material Exports:

  • Corn$4.9 billion,
  • Wheat$3.68 billion,
  • Iron ore$2.75 billion,
  • Soybeans$1.29 billion.

Other Exported Goods:

  • Cables – $1.26 billion,
  • Furniture – $460.6 million.

This growth indicates a recovery of the Ukrainian economy, despite the challenging conditions and obstacles the country faces during the war.
