Ukrainian scouts destroyed the Russian radar system "Podlet" worth $5 million in Crimea, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR).

On Thursday, November 28, as a result of a successful operation by Ukrainian intelligence in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, the Russian radar complex "Podlet" was destroyed. This was reported by the GUR MO.

The mobile radar 48Ya6-K1 "Podlet" is used by the Russians to detect aerial targets at low and extremely low altitudes in complex jamming environments.

The estimated cost of the destroyed radar complex, which is designed, in particular, for providing target indications for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, is 5 million dollars.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that three Ukrainian drones were shot down over Crimea at night.

48Ya6-K1 "Podlet"

The radar station was developed by the Almaz-Antey air defense concern for the Aerospace Forces of Russia. The radar provides automatic detection and determination of target coordinates, tracking and escorting any aerodynamic targets, determining state affiliation, and providing information about targets for air defense systems and fighter aviation.

It can simultaneously detect up to 200 targets at distances from 10 to 300 km with a maximum altitude of 10 km.

On the night of November 10, GUR MOU scouts destroyed an Mi-24 attack helicopter at the "Klin-5" airfield in the Moscow region. The aircraft belonged to the 92nd squadron of the 344th center for combat application and retraining of the army aviation flight personnel of the RF Armed Forces.
