Unique "catch": A man in Dnipro captured two giant fish (PHOTOS)

Fishing in the Dnipro has delighted yet another city dweller, presenting an astonishing "gift." This time, luck smiled upon a local resident who caught two remarkably large fish—a pike and a zander—becoming true trophies of the season. This was reported by "Vydomo," citing "Nashe Misto."

The lucky angler has already showcased his trophies in a photo that has gone viral. According to the fisherman, the pike weighs over 7 kilograms, while the zander is around 6 kilograms. Indeed, these are truly impressive results.

The pike, a predator with excellent camouflage and lightning-fast attacks, has always been a coveted catch for anglers. Its size and weight can vary significantly depending on age and habitat conditions. It is known that the common pike, found in the rivers and lakes of Ukraine, can reach truly giant sizes. There have been recorded instances of pikes measuring over 150 centimeters in length and weighing up to 20 kilograms.

The zander can also astonish with its size and strength. This powerful predatory fish, with its characteristic elongated body and sharp teeth, is a desired trophy for many experienced anglers. Like pikes, zanders can grow to impressive sizes. Specimens measuring up to a meter and weighing up to 20 kilograms can be found, although such examples are quite rare.
