The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine has received an order to suspend all projects and associated expenditures. This decision came after a directive from the U.S. State Department to halt aid programs to other countries for 90 days for auditing purposes. This was reported by "Suspilne" citing an employee from the USAID office in Kyiv.

According to him, they haven't received any detailed instructions regarding this matter; specifically, the USAID employees in Ukraine are unsure how the directive will be implemented and whether there will be any exceptions.

The USAID press service has directed journalists with inquiries about the agency's operations to the State Department for all questions.

In general, Ukrainian organizations are receiving letters about the need to suspend activities funded by USAID or organizations reliant on U.S. funding.

It is worth noting that on January 25, it was reported that the U.S. is halting global demining programs. This statement followed comments from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who stated that U.S. foreign policy will focus on advancing their national interests.

President Volodymyr Zelensky previously mentioned that the United States has approved $177 billion for Ukraine during the war. However, Kyiv has not seen even half of that money.
