The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting at a café in central Kyiv. The conflict arose between a 68-year-old patron and other individuals, during which one of the participants allegedly fired several shots at the elderly man using traumatic weapons. This was reported by the National Police.
Information regarding the incident was received by law enforcement around 4:20 PM.
It is known that after the shooting, the perpetrator fled the scene, and efforts to locate him are ongoing. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
A forensic investigation team and police units were present at the scene. All circumstances are being clarified, and the legal classification of the incident is being determined.
As a reminder, on January 13 in Kyiv, two men argued over dog walking in a yard in the Holosiivskyi district. The argument escalated into a shooting: one of the men pulled out a traumatic weapon from his bag and shot the other in the face before fleeing. The 30-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound and was hospitalized.
