In Kyiv, recommendations have been developed for holding a daily nationwide minute of silence. This was reported by Victoria Mukha, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council and chair of the Coordination Council for the Memorialization of War Participants and Events.

The proposals were prepared in collaboration with the petition initiators, the public organization "Almost," and representatives of the city authorities.

According to her, every Ukrainian "should recognize their responsibility for preserving the memory of the fallen."

"We invite the residents of Kyiv to participate and recommend that institutions, establishments, and organizations, regardless of ownership type, pause operations for a minute, except in cases where it is impossible due to continuous operation or the need for urgent activities," Mukha noted.

To announce the start of the minute of silence, it is suggested to use the "Kyiv Digital" mobile application, announcements in public transport, at Independence Square and Khreshchatyk, as well as through advertising media. Textual and audiovisual accompanying materials have been developed. The "Kyiv" TV channel and "Kyiv FM" radio will continue to broadcast the minute of silence live.

An information campaign is also planned to remind about the importance of this ritual. Educational institutions plan to maintain the practice of holding a minute of silence.

Mukha noted that in the event of an air raid alert, priority will be given to notifying about the danger.

The recommendations have already been submitted to the Kyiv City Council for consideration and approval at the upcoming plenary session.

Recall that on January 26, news emerged about the death of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian film director Stanislav Prytula.

A poet and songwriter Mykhailo Mikus was killed at the front. He served in the 5th Separate Assault Brigade.
