In three districts of Kiev, on November 23, 24, and 25, the system for notifying citizens about air raid alerts will be non-operational due to technical issues. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Due to technical problems with "Ukrtelecom" equipment, the population alert system for air raid signals is temporarily down in certain parts of the Svyatoshynsky, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts," the statement reads.
The SES clarified that citizens will be informed about the danger using loudspeakers.
"According to information from "Ukrtelecom," the estimated time for restoring the system's operation is 6:00 PM on November 25, 2024," the agency noted.
Rescue services also provided a list of streets where the alert system will not function:
"Please pay close attention to air raid signals and messages from the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the SES emphasized.
Recall that on November 20, residents of Kiev heard a loud rumble on the streets of the capital.
On November 22, media reported that the government quarter in Kiev is not operational due to a threat of a strike from the Russian Federation, but officials in the Cabinet denied all claims.
