"At any moment": the former Chief of Staff spokesperson does not rule out a strike by the Russian Armed Forces during the New Year celebrations.

According to Vladislav Seleznev, during the shelling on December 31, the enemy launched relatively few aerial targets, but they have the capability for a larger attack, with approximately 1,400 missiles available.

Following this morning's enemy rocket-drone attack today, December 31, which is not classified as large-scale, the Russian military may soon deliver a retaliatory strike, as stated in a comment to TSN by former press secretary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Vladislav Seleznev.

"Russian z-publics reported that the Russian army attacked factories involved in our country's defense-industrial network. There are also reports of damage to boiler houses and residential buildings. Thus, the missile terror continues," Seleznev reported.

However, Seleznev also added that during the morning attack, the enemy expended a small amount of its resources. Therefore, accordingly, they still have missiles left.

"This is done to pressure our air defense system. The specific target the occupiers aimed to hit in Kyiv has not been disclosed. The enemy is trying to strike our military facilities. It is clear that we need to stay vigilant," he said.

He reminded that a year ago, a large-scale air raid alert was initiated, with explosions heard throughout the night. All of this occurred on New Year's Eve.

"On the night of January 2, the enemy conducted a large-scale rocket-drone attack. It is likely that the Russian army will once again use this pressure tactic during the New Year holidays. They have the resources for this — 1,400 missiles," Seleznev noted.

When asked if there was a response from the enemy, the expert replied: "Should we consider the current rocket attack as a response to the strikes tonight in the Kursk region and Crimea? I don't think so. Such actions are usually prepared in advance — planes are readied, missiles are loaded, ground missile systems are deployed. I am confident that there is no connection between the Ukrainian rocket-drone attacks and the Russian ones. The only significant difference is that we are fighting against Russian military forces.

In summary, Seleznev indicates that the likelihood of another strike exists, and it is high.

"A repeat missile attack could happen at any moment. The enemy has only used 8 of its strategic bombers, and they have a certain stock of resources," the expert clarified.

Earlier, we reported that the Special Operations Forces announced that Ukrainian troops advanced in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and captured a settlement held by North Korean soldiers.
