A video of a possible detention in Odessa surfaced online at 15:33 on January 2. The authors posted the footage, stating that the incident took place on Heroes of Krut Street. The recording was made by a woman passing by, whose voice, along with the voices of children in the car, can be heard. We see a vehicle parked near the sidewalk, blocked by other cars without identification marks. At one point, two men aimed weapons at the people in the car: one targeted the windshield, while the other approached from the opposite side. Subsequently, someone was pulled from the vehicle. As the cars dispersed, an unknown individual was seen lying on the ground, surrounded by a dozen other civilians in plain clothes.
No gunshots were audible during the one-and-a-half-minute recording. At the same time, a female voice exclaimed that the person on the ground was likely bleeding. It is also noticeable that some individuals in the video had their faces covered, while others did not.
"The police are not involved in this. Therefore, look for answers in other law enforcement agencies," Goridievska stated.
Attempts to obtain comments regarding the events in Odessa from the numbers of the SBU in the Odessa region and the central office were unsuccessful. There are no posts on the Facebook pages of the regional and central offices explaining what occurred in the city center.
As a reminder, in December, an incident occurred in Odessa involving a military recruitment center employee: a local resident hit him with a car and dragged him several meters on the hood.
