China has implemented retaliatory tariffs against the US following the introduction of similar trade restrictions that took effect on February 4. This was reported by the Chinese Ministry of Finance, according to The Guardian.
The new tariffs are set at 15% on coal and liquefied natural gas, as well as 10% on crude oil and agricultural equipment imported from the US.
Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Customs Administration announced the introduction of export controls on tungsten, tellurium, ruthenium, molybdenum, and products related to ruthenium, citing the need to safeguard national security.
The American tariffs of 10% on Chinese imports took effect on February 4. The day before, US President Donald Trump decided to postpone the implementation of similar measures against Mexico and Canada.
