In Ternivka, officials attempted to embezzle 900,000 UAH intended for the repair of a shelter.

During the ongoing repair work on the civil protection facility, a basic shelter within the building of the communal institution of the Ternivka City Council, officials attempted to embezzle 900,000 UAH, reports "Vidomo" citing the advertising and information portal "Begemot".

"Officials, in collusion with certain business entities, intend to misappropriate budget funds totaling approximately 900,000 UAH. Specifically, at the construction site for the current repair of the civil protection facility, a basic shelter in the building of the communal institution of the Ternivka City Council, the planned work is expected to be incomplete," the publication notes, referencing court materials available in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.

Furthermore, it is reported that the goods and materials intended for fulfilling the contract's terms do not meet the criteria for tender procurement concerning the technical specifications of the construction materials, which are expected to be supplied at inflated prices.

Officials conducted a procurement process to select a contractor for the repair work, resulting in the victory of a limited liability company, with a contract signed on May 23, 2024, for a total amount of 3,343,604 UAH.
