The police of Kryvyi Rih have reported suspicions against an individual who robbed a pensioner in the city center. This information comes from "Izvestno" referencing the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department.
The crime occurred on October 9 in the Saksahan district of the city. The suspect, noticing a smartphone in the hand of a 74-year-old man heading to the store, decided to seize it. Law enforcement officials identified the perpetrator as a 38-year-old citizen.
During the investigation, police discovered that the suspect was involved in another offense. Recently, officers on patrol found the 38-year-old man with a counterfeit military ID.
The fake document was seized and sent for forensic examination.
Investigators have informed the suspect of charges related to a criminal offense under part 4 of article 186 (robbery committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Information regarding the forgery of the document has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 4 of article 358 (use of a knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
