In 2025, the total spending norm for each member of the Ukrainian parliament is set at 2.28 million hryvnias per year. The majority of these funds are allocated for the salaries of assistant consultants, writes. EP.
Only 670 UAH per year is allocated for organizing meetings with constituents, which is the minimal expense item. A significant portion of the expenses goes towards housing rental compensation, for which a deputy can receive up to 237,000 UAH per year (650 UAH per day).
Regarding 2024, nearly 26.4 million UAH was allocated from the state budget for compensations for deputies. Most of these funds were spent in December, with over 4.7 million UAH used for compensations. A total of 113 parliamentarians took advantage of the compensation, with each receiving an average of about 40,000 UAH. The highest number of housing rental compensations was received by deputies from the "Servant of the People" faction — 85 individuals.
Compensations were also distributed to five deputies from the "European Solidarity," "Voice," and "Trust" factions, along with two members from the "Platform for Life and Peace" deputy group.
It was previously reported that actual consumer inflation in December 2024 exceeded the forecasts of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), and prices are expected to continue rising.
