The Russian army is attempting to establish a foothold in the Andreevka area of the Donetsk region and is exerting pressure on the positions of the Armed Forces from various directions, particularly from Slavyanka and Petropavlovka. Russian infantry is breaking through in the vicinity of Andreevka and is trying to penetrate the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces through engineering and fortification structures. Additionally, the Russian army has made advances in Serebryany, Dachny, and near Kolodezi. This information became known on the evening of February 2 from analysts of the DeepState project.
"North of Andreevka, the Russians are applying pressure on the Defense Forces' positions from Slavyanka and Petropavlovka, moving along the ravines towards the Yasynovatoe-Andreevka road," the report states.
Additional opportunities for an assault on Andreevka may arise for the Russians from the southern direction — between Ulakly and Dachny, where the enemy is also concentrating its troops and equipment.
Furthermore, Russian infantry is attempting to break through the village of Shevchenko, even through the fortifications constructed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"At the same time, the infantry was attempting to climb through the village of Shevchenko along the engineering and fortification structures that run between Andreevka and Shevchenko," the report mentions.
Meanwhile, analysts note that the Ukrainian military stationed near Andreevka are facing challenges in their defense "due to a number of problems." However, the Ukrainian forces are making "every effort" to overcome these issues, as stated in the DeepState report.
It was also previously reported that the enemy has occupied the settlement of Novomlinsky in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. This was announced on the evening of January 31.
