On the morning of November 21, residents of Dnipro were subjected to a massive missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces. The Russians used cruise and ballistic missiles, which approached the city from three directions. Analysts from the "Texts" project visualized the flight paths of the missiles, all directed at Dnipro. The infographic displaying the trajectory of the Russian Armed Forces' munitions was published on the project's portal.
The analysts explained that the infographic was created based on reports from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and monitoring public War_monitor. Additionally, they considered President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement that Russia struck Ukraine with intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The "Texts" infographic illustrates the movement of nine missiles:
The portal also analyzed video captured by a surveillance camera in Dnipro. They noted a bright flash during the approach, but no fires were visible after the impact with the ground. From this, they concluded that the projectile did not carry explosives and could have been a fragment or a piece of concrete. Such a missile would cause damage due to its high speed and overall weight, rather than from an explosion, they summarized.
"No explosions are observed at the impact sites, as the damage was likely caused by kinetic energy rather than explosive force," the article states.
It should be noted that on the morning of November 21, the Defense Forces warned of an air threat, and Dnipro residents heard several explosions. It later became clear that the enemy struck a residential area of the city: Mayor Filatov reported damages near a medical center, as well as damage to several houses, cars, and garages. Meanwhile, the Air Forces reported on the results of their air defense efforts: they shot down six out of seven X-101 missiles, but were unable to intercept the ballistic missile and one cruise missile. Video from the scene shows six impacts: experts explained that this could refer to an attack by the Russian RS-26 "Rubezh" missile, which, upon approach, separated into six striking parts.
We remind you that aviation expert Valeriy Romanenko discussed medium-range missiles that Russia could have used to strike Dnipro. Meanwhile, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny explained why, in his opinion, one could talk about the onset of a Third World War in 2024.
