Timoshchuk won his lawsuit against UAF, reclaiming all the titles that were stripped from him in Ukraine.

The court justified its decision by stating that from the onset of the full-scale invasion until March 11, 2022, Timoshchuk did not engage in any actions that would warrant disciplinary measures against him.
Тимощук выиграл суд против УАФ и восстановил все титулы, которые были у него отобраны в Украине.

Former Ukrainian football player Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, who continues to work in Russia and raise funds for the Russian Armed Forces after the full-scale invasion, has won a court case in Lausanne against the Ukrainian Football Association. This was reported by Tribuna.com.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne upheld the appeal of ex-footballer Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, who sought to lift the sanctions imposed on him by the UAF's disciplinary committee in 2022 due to his ongoing work in Russia. In particular, the Association stripped him of all titles, revoked his coaching license, and permanently removed him from the official register of national teams.

Tymoshchuk filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 2023, and he has now overturned the decisions made by Ukrainian football authorities.

CAS justified its decision by stating that from the beginning of the full-scale invasion until March 11, 2022, Tymoshchuk did not engage in any actions that would warrant such disciplinary sanctions against him.

The UAF commented on the court's decision, stating that Europeans do not understand the realities in which Ukrainians live.

"The UAF has indeed received the decision from CAS. Unfortunately, the Europeans approached this matter in a very formal manner and confirmed a partial misunderstanding of the realities we face. The position of the Ukrainian football community is unequivocal and has never changed. Individuals like Tymoshchuk have no place in Ukrainian football," the UAF stated.

Currently, there is no information about the decision regarding Tymoshchuk on the court's website.

Recall that Tymoshchuk has been working as an assistant coach in the coaching staff of "Zenit" since 2017 and did not leave his job in the aggressor country following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

On March 30, 2022, on Tymoshchuk's birthday, he was stripped of the title of "Honorary Citizen of Lutsk" by a decision from the Lutsk city council. In January 2023, the footballer was also included in the sanctions list of public figures by the National Security and Defense Council for 10 years.
