The GBR revealed the charges against Dubinsky for transporting a relative out of Ukraine.

The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) has completed its investigation into the criminal case against Member of Parliament Oleksandr Dubinsky and his former assistant regarding the organization of illegal border crossing from Ukraine. The indictment has already been submitted to the court, announced the SBI.

The SBI and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) uncovered the criminal scheme in November 2023. The MP conspired with his former assistant, who now leads a public organization called "Media Defense," to facilitate the illegal exit of the brother of his common-law wife from Ukraine in August 2022, according to law enforcement officials.

The relative left Ukraine for Moldova in a vehicle through one of the border checkpoints. The basis for crossing the border was documents from the "Shlyakh" system, a directive from the Kyiv Regional Military Administration allowing the exit from Ukraine for drivers transporting goods for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The permission was obtained at the request of the Vyshhorod District Military Administration with the assistance of the MP and an affiliated public organization, as stated in the report.

"After crossing the border, the relative effectively secured employment on a foreign maritime vessel, did not carry out any transportation for the needs of the Armed Forces, and returned to Ukraine at the end of 2022 after the contract ended," the SBI reported.

Law enforcement officials note that the man managed to exploit this scheme a second time and has not returned to Ukraine. In 2023, he left for abroad as a volunteer driver using the same documents from the Regional Military Administration.

According to investigators, on Dubinsky's instructions, the man was to arrive in Chișinău and await further instructions for transporting the MP's luxury vehicle from the Chișinău airport parking lot to Vienna, the capital of Austria.

It is worth noting that in November 2024, Dubinsky discussed the seizure of his mother's property at the request of the SBI. He claimed that the apartment, received from the state in 1983, had been seized.

Previously, media reported that Dubinsky, along with former MP Andrii Derkach, was preparing a press conference on behalf of the Russian GRU. A witness stated that Derkach, Dubinsky, and former prosecutor Konstantin Kulyk held the event to discredit the authorities of Ukraine and U.S. President Joe Biden.
