The Japanese government has imposed additional sanctions against Russia. The list includes not only companies and citizens of the Russian Federation but also individuals from other countries. This was reported by the President of Ukraine's Commissioner for Sanction Policy, Vladislav Vlasuk, on Facebook.

According to him, the asset freeze list has been expanded to include 33 organizations and 12 individuals, among them a citizen of North Korea.

Additionally, 53 organizations from countries including Russia, China, and Turkey are subject to export bans and other measures. Vlasuk noted that these are mainly manufacturers and suppliers of the military-industrial complex.

"Starting January 23, Japan will also ban the export of another 335 goods, including small motorcycles and components for specialized equipment such as cranes. Furthermore, educational activities will be conducted with manufacturers whose components are found in Russian missiles," the president's commissioner added.

Japan's Assistance to Ukraine

Japan supports Ukraine in the war initiated by Russia. However, the country does not provide lethal assistance.

The Japanese government supports Ukraine financially through international mechanisms and directly, offering humanitarian aid and assistance with demining.
