The court has sentenced a man who attempted to kill two residents in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Dnipro. This was reported by "Vydomo," citing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The incident occurred in February 2021 in the basement of a house on Kazaka Mamaya Street due to a domestic conflict.
Law enforcement officials determined that a domestic dispute arose among three residents of the building regarding the water supply to the basement. During the argument, a 55-year-old man, while under the influence of alcohol, stabbed two men aged 59 and 37 several times.
During the altercation, the assailant repeatedly stabbed his opponents. At the crime scene, law enforcement seized the weapon used in the crime—a kitchen knife with traces of blood. The perpetrator was apprehended and placed in custody.
After gathering sufficient evidence, investigators informed the suspect of charges under part 3 of Article 15, paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 115 (attempted intentional murder of two individuals) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The police forwarded the indictment to the court, which, after examining the evidence presented, found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in prison.
