The Kyiv police have been searching for a soldier of the RDK of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Bogdanov, for over two weeks. He was last seen in mid-November, and a month and a half ago, a restaurant owned by the military burned down in downtown Kyiv. The disappearance of the soldier was reported by the press secretary of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv, Anna Strashok, as noted on the "Suspilne" portal.
The police press service stated that Bogdanov has been missing since November 20, 2024. On that day, people contacted the Svyatoshyn district police department to report a disappearance, although the identity of the person was not specified. Journalists reminded that Bogdanov, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, owned the Korean cuisine restaurant "Pyan-Se," which burned down at the end of October. Law enforcement has not clarified whether there is a connection between the two incidents.
"He is considered missing," — said Anna Stashok.
The article also reported that the last sighting of the soldier was on November 12 at his restaurant. After that, he was not seen by anyone, and some of his social media accounts disappeared, as "Suspilne" (the Instagram account disappeared).
Ilya Bogdanov is a 36-year-old Russian born in Vladivostok. He fought in Dagestan as part of the FSB troops, was a member of the Russian nationalist movement, and in 2014, with the onset of the Kremlin's hybrid invasion, he switched sides to Ukraine. Since 2022, Bogdanov has been a soldier of the RDK. "Suspilne" reported that he had been the target of assassination attempts and kidnapping for ten years. The Russian had a business in Kyiv, and on October 18 at 4:17 AM, his restaurant "Pyan-Se" burned down.
On his Facebook page, the soldier posted a photo of the charred premises where the furniture and equipment were destroyed. According to him, law enforcement and emergency service workers assure that a short circuit caused the fire. By October 28, there was a post about the resumption of the establishment's operations.
Meanwhile, Ilya wrote on social media that he suspectsmentions the elections in the USA, Donald Trump, and Oleksiy Arestovych.
So far, the RDK Telegram channel has no comments regarding the missing soldier Ilya Bogdanov.
As a reminder, in April, the SBU reported the exposure of an FSB agent who operated near Bakhmut: the chief of staff of the 3rd Special Operations Brigade reacted to the arrest.
