Frontline animals have become social media stars in Zaporizhzhia. A bull named Martin and a pig named Mashka were brought from the front lines by soldier Maxim in the Donetsk region. This is mentioned in a report by TSN.

These animals miraculously survived, as the area was heavily mined. After their evacuation, they received their own TikTok account and gained numerous followers. Thanks to videos featuring them, donations are being raised for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Martin is a 600-kilogram bull who enjoys being fed bread, having his neck scratched, and receiving kisses. Soldier Maxim affectionately refers to him as "600 kg of tenderness." He also has a call sign—"Buffalo." This name was given to him by the Ukrainian defenders with whom he bonded in the Donetsk region.

"There are mines on both sides everywhere; you can't pass, so to speak. And he walks straight along our path, the one we take to enter, and comes up to us at our position, looking at us," says soldier Maxim "Kharkiv."

Initially, the military transported the bull to an abandoned farm located 15 km from their positions. Later, he was taken to Zaporizhzhia.

The entire village where the soldier lives has fallen in love with Martin. Besides his wife and two daughters, the neighbors also worry about the bull while the soldier is on duty.

"He really loves cake, bread, and when he was young, he enjoyed sweet things like all of us. Now the bull has grown up and become a man; he no longer likes sweets," says Maxim.

Maxim has been on the front line since the first days of the full-scale invasion. He is currently part of a mobile fire group, repelling "Shahed" attacks.

In addition to Martin, a pig named Mashka was also evacuated from the combat zone.

"She was quite a sight, with a broken leg. But our medic, 'Parker,' is amazing; he reacted quickly, removed the debris, and bandaged her up properly," Maxim recounts.

Now, Mashka is the "terror" of the entire street.

Martin and Mashka are "volunteering"—t-shirts featuring their photos are flying off the shelves, and the funds raised are used to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"5-6 streams—and we bought drones worth 100 thousand, delivered Mavic 3s... and much more," says the soldier.
