An employee of a company involved in the Brave1 project and fulfilling orders for the Armed Forces came to the Kyiv recruitment center to update booking information. After this, the individual was mobilized, despite their significance for production. The military enlistment office stated that everything was legal. The situation regarding the conscription of workers from the defense industry was reported on the "Hromadske" portal.
Journalists reported that on January 28, a representative of the company "Oko Camera" reached out to them, expressing concerns about the mobilization of a key employee. The unnamed media source stated that the head of production went to the Pechersk district TCC to update information for further booking. After the conscript's appearance at the enlistment office, they were detained and are currently at the distribution center. The company claims that the actions of the TCC are illegal, as the individual did not receive a mobilization order and did not sign any documents.
"[The head of production] did not sign anything and is not officially mobilized. There was no mobilization letter or order, and in fact, they are being held there illegally," representatives of the company stated.
Due to the decisions of the military enlistment offices, the company will be unable to fulfill the state order for the production of essential military equipment, journalists quoted representatives of "Oko Camera".
A statement from the Kyiv city TCC appeared on their Facebook page. The military enlistment officers explained that they acted legally, as the company did not have the status of critically important, and therefore could not reserve employees. The note asserts that the recruitment center acted "within the framework of the law" and "there were no conflicting situations with the citizen".
LLC "Oko Camera" (Oko Camera) is a company that emerged in November 2022 with a charter capital of 20,000 UAH. The company is managed by two individuals — Denys Nikolenko (Lviv) and Oleg Sivachenko (Kyiv). The "Oko Camera" portal features examples of the products it manufactures, such as cameras with thermal imaging optics.
In October 2024, Oko Camera was mentioned by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov. The official explained that the company operates within the Brave1 project and produces "thermal imagers for drones, robots, and other military equipment." The products are designed to function in low visibility conditions, extreme temperatures, and darkness. It is also noted that a full production cycle has been established.
"Military personnel recall instances when, during nighttime reconnaissance under challenging weather conditions, the cameras detected targets at long distances, a task traditional observation means could not accomplish," Fedorov wrote.
On the Facebook page of the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, there is no reaction regarding the mobilization of the head of production, who produces military equipment for the Defense Forces and did not receive critically important status.
We remind you that on January 28, people's deputy Oleksandr Fediienko noted that some employees of critically important enterprises will indeed not be reserved and will then be mobilized.
