Another wave of cold is anticipated in Ukraine, with frosts expected to strengthen again soon. This was shared in an interview with 24 Kanal by Natalia Ptuha, a representative of the "Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center."
According to her, the anticyclone from the north will persist throughout the weekend and may linger into Monday. Meanwhile, there will be less cloud cover, and the frosts will intensify once more.
The night leading into Saturday is expected to be colder, with temperatures remaining relatively stable over the next three days. At night, temperatures will range from -11 to -16 degrees, with the northern and northeastern regions, as well as the Carpathians, experiencing lows of -17 to -20 degrees — indicating another wave of cold.
During the day, temperatures are expected to be between -1 and -7 degrees across most regions. It will be slightly warmer in the far west and south, where nighttime temperatures will range from -6 to -14 degrees, and daytime temperatures will vary from -3 to +3 degrees.
There may be light snow in Crimea.
"The coldest temperatures are expected to occur over the weekend in the forecast. Conversely, towards the end of February and the beginning of March, we will see a rise in temperatures. This will be particularly noticeable during the daytime," Natalia Ptuha explained.
As a reminder, according to meteorologist Natalia Didenko, the weakening of frosts and a gradual increase in air temperature in Ukraine is expected to begin next week.
