During the events of the inspection in Shostka in the Sumy region, a worker from the territorial recruitment center and a law enforcement officer were injured. This was reported by the regional police.
It is noted that a joint patrol of the police and the recruitment center was conducting checks on individuals when a 23-year-old local resident behaved provocatively, refused to comply with the lawful demands of the authorities, and began to resist.
It was reported that the man used tear gas against the representative of the recruitment center and then struck him. During the detention of the aggressive citizen, one of the police officers also sustained injuries.
An investigation has been opened into this incident under part 2 of Article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) and part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat or violence against an official).
The offender has been detained and faces up to five years in prison.
Recall that on February 22, in Odesa, a man inflicted bodily harm on a serviceman of the recruitment center and territorial defense. He sprayed tear gas in the face of the "military enlistment office" employee and also fired several shots in his direction.
