The State Emergency Service reported that a fire broke out in a residential area as a result of the missile strike on Odessa. Several dozen vehicles caught fire, posing a threat of the flames spreading to nearby homes. Rescuers, along with volunteers, extinguished the fire over an area of 500 square meters.

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that during the shelling of Odessa, the Russian Armed Forces launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" at the city, which was intercepted by air defense. The downed missile fell into a residential area and "caused much grief."
