The former chief of staff of "Azov," Bohdan Krotevych, stated that at one point, subordinates of former Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi attempted to send brigade fighters into an offensive without armored vehicles. However, the ex-chief managed to prevent such actions. Krotevych shared this in a recent interview with Bihus.Info.
"I asked him to give us a less challenging direction where we could train the personnel. Because throwing 'green' personnel into a meat grinder is foolish. He completely agreed. But then he tried to ensure that some of his subordinates, who wanted to send us into an offensive without armored vehicles, went against orders," he said.
"Tavr" also stated that he does not support Zaluzhnyi's current posts and actions, and if the latter decides to run for president, he will not endorse that decision.
"Some people may pull you into politics. I want to be a loser in the war for ambitions. It seems to me that Mr. Zaluzhnyi is also being pulled in this direction, and I would advise him not to fall for it, but to work in the area he has chosen — diplomacy and foreign affairs. He can be more effective there than as president," the military concluded.
Let us remind you that Lieutenant Colonel Bohdan "Tavr" Krotevych completed his service in the Defense Forces, which he began in 2014 as an infantryman, and left the position of chief of staff of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov."
