Joined the war at 21: Azov member Krotevich responds to youth contract (video).

"Tavr" does not support lowering the mobilization age until there is a complete change in the leadership of the Ukrainian army. In particular, it highlighted two issues regarding the contract for young people aged 18 to 24.
В 21 год Кротевич, азовец, отправился на войну и прокомментировал новый контракт для молодежи (видео).

The former chief of staff of the 12th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov," Bohdan "Tavr" Krotevych, commented on the contract conditions for youth aged 18-24. The serviceman shared this in an interview with Bihus.Info.

The colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who has experienced Russian captivity, noted that he was pleased to hear about the new contract for young people. However, "Tavr" acknowledges that this is unfair. Krotevych himself went to war at the age of 21 and did not receive any payments.

"Those who are currently in the army and are under 25 should have the opportunity to resign and re-sign the contract. I believe this would be fair," the serviceman stated.

Moreover, the contract only applies to 6 brigades, which "Tavr" considers to be "nepotism." The Azov member points out that this is one of the issues present under the current command of the Armed Forces.

"It's not just unfair. I would say it's a violation of the charter, a breach of disciplinary matters," Krotevych said.

"Tavr" does not understand why these particular brigades were chosen. Krotevych believes that the contract should include all brigades, including the National Guard.

In particular, the soldier noted that he does not support lowering the mobilization age until the leadership of the Ukrainian army changes.

Who is Bohdan "Tavr" Krotevych?

Krotevych has been part of "Azov" since 2014, rising from a private to a platoon commander. During the defense of Mariupol in the spring of 2022, "Tavr" was captured by Russian forces along with his comrades.

Upon his return, the soldier began restoring the combat capability of the unit and scaling it up to the 12th Brigade of "Azov." "Tavr" participated in the brigade's expansion and coordinated battles in the Zaporizhzhia direction during the summer counteroffensive of 2023, as well as contributed to the successful defense and counteroffensive actions of "Azov" in the Kreminna and Toretsk directions.

As a reminder, Bohdan Krotevych left the "Azov" brigade.
