Scandal at a Rivne school: a teacher yelled and threatened students. Here’s what the police have to say about it (video).

At the Berezovsky Lyceum in the Sarny district of the Rivne region, a teacher was seen yelling at students and allegedly struck one of them. The corresponding video can be viewed on local social media pages.

In the video, the teacher leaned over to a student and spoke to him in an elevated tone while banging his hand on the desk.

"Show me where you wrote it down. What were you doing all lesson?" — he shouted.

Moments later, the man turned to another boy and reportedly hit him on the back of the head, asking him the same question he posed to the first student.

Teacher's Assault on Student in Rivne Region: Police Response

The police have already initiated an investigation into the circumstances visible in the video. This was reported by Maria Yustitskaya, the press secretary of the Rivne region police, in a comment to TSN.ua.

"Parents, children, and educators have gathered to clarify the circumstances. A community police officer and juvenile police are conducting the investigation," — the press secretary of the Rivne region police explained.

She stated that the video was discovered by law enforcement during social media monitoring. The information has been recorded in the unified register, and the question of opening a criminal case is being considered.

Incident in Rivne Region School: Response from Other Government Bodies

The representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in the Rivne region also reacted to the video. He has reached out to the relevant authorities to verify the information. Should inappropriate behavior be confirmed, appropriate measures will be taken.

The ombudsman emphasized that educators must adhere to ethical standards, respect the dignity of students, and protect them from violence. He added that children's rights should not be violated.

At the Berezovsky Lyceum in the Sarny district, there was no response to the incident at the time of the report.

It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred in one of the educational institutions in the Varash district of the Rivne region, where a teacher assaulted a student, prompting a police investigation.

Later, it became known that a caregiver at a private kindergarten in Brovary was behaving inappropriately towards children. She yanked a boy's clothing on the playground. Investigators have opened a criminal case.
