В Киеве на станции метро ногу ребенка зажало в эскалаторе.

An emergency incident occurred at the "Lybidska" metro station in Kyiv. A child's leg got caught in the escalator. This is reported by Trukha Kyiv.

It is noted that the incident took place while descending the escalator into the subway. The escalator began to pull the child's leg. A station employee immediately stopped the escalator, and rescuers and medical personnel were called to the scene.

"The child's cries were heard at Lybidska. The Kyiv City State Administration reports that a passenger's shoe got stuck, but it is mentioned that it is the child's leg. Rescuers are working at the scene," the report states.

It is noted that the child was handed over to the paramedics. The "Lybidska" station remains closed to entry.

"Due to stepping over the boundary line on the escalator step, the child's shoe got caught between a stationary element (the balustrade) of the escalator, which led to the leg being pinched," they explained the situation in Kyiv Metro Alerts.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that metro specialists are currently replacing and adjusting some escalator components. These actions are crucial for their safe operation.

Recall that the KP "Kyiv Metro" denied reports of flooding at the "Demiivska" station and assured that it is operating normally.

On November 12, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported that the former head of the Kyiv Metro has been charged with negligence, which led to the flooding of the tunnel between the "Demiivska" and "Lybidska" stations last December.
