Ukrainian soldiers repelled a Russian tank advance near Vremivka, using only FPV drones for the operation (video).

Ukrainian forces deployed up to a dozen FPV drones to repel an attack by a column of Russian armored vehicles, as shown in a video from the 110th Brigade. The enemy was unable to advance further north to pose a threat to Vremivka.

The Russian command deployed a column of armored vehicles to the positions of the Defense Forces near Vremivka, which moved along field roads towards the village of Novy Komar. The Ukrainian military exclusively utilized drones to repel the assault. One type of UAV continuously monitored the perimeter, detecting every movement of the enemy. Meanwhile, operators of FPV drones aimed and repeatedly struck Russian tanks and BMPs. Details of the repulsion of the Russian tank assault that occurred on December 21 were shared by the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General Khurunjy Mark Bezruchko (110th OMB) on their Facebook page.

The fighters demonstrated how four armored vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces—three tanks and one infantry fighting vehicle (BMP)—advanced towards the Ukrainian positions. They decided to start repelling the attack with the BMP. In the video, we see at least two FPV drones hitting the vehicle, smoke appears, and Russian soldiers flee in panic. Meanwhile, the tanks continued moving, with one lagging slightly behind. Eventually, the tanks were targeted; first, those that had advanced ahead were hit, followed by the one that had fallen behind. At one point, the drone's camera shows a close-up of an armored vehicle: we see that a grid was welded onto the turret for protection against UAVs, but this did not prevent the drone from entering through a window right next to the barrel. In total, around 5-6 drone strikes (up to ten) were sufficient to halt the column of Russian tanks.

The military note indicates that the Russian Armed Forces regularly deploy columns of armored vehicles for assaults in this segment of the Vremivka direction. They promised that a video of an even stronger enemy attack would be available soon.

Russian Offensive — Vremivka Direction as of December 24

In a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published at 08:00 on December 24, it is stated that the Vremivka direction has become the hottest spot on the front, with 35 attacks by the Russian Armed Forces recorded. The Kurakhove direction ranks second in terms of the number of assaults (32 attacks), followed by Pokrovsk (30). At the same time, the situation remains equally intense in the Kursk region, where the command counted 46 Russian assaults.

On the map from the DeepState project, we see that the village of Novy Komar is located north of Vremivka and Bolshaya Novoselka. The Russian "language" that extends towards this village runs 1 km from the outskirts of Novoselka.

It is noteworthy that analysts from the project on December 24 showed changes in the Vremivka section. According to updated data, the enemy advanced near Makarovka, where the encirclement of Ukrainian Armed Forces units could have occurred. On December 20, analysts, along with a lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign "Alex," reported on the encirclement, but the General Staff and the OSUV "Khortytsia" refuted the threat.

We remind you that on December 23, the Third Assault Brigade released a video filmed by a Russian soldier. In the video, it can be heard that the Russian Armed Forces receive orders not to spare the civilian population.
