The scale is astonishing: In Kryvyi Rih, drug dealers will face trial for running a multi-million dollar operation (PHOTO).

In the city of Kryvyi Rih, a large-scale investigation into illegal drug trafficking has concluded. The prosecutor's office has sent an indictment to the court against two men accused of organizing and carrying out large-scale production and distribution of drugs derived from cannabis. The case, with its impressive scale, is set to become one of the most high-profile in the region's history. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The charges are based on the results of a lengthy investigation, during which irrefutable evidence of the suspects' guilt was collected. The investigation revealed that the men acted in an organized manner, establishing a complex system for the illegal cultivation, processing, and distribution of cannabis. Their criminal activities represented a well-oiled mechanism, encompassing all stages from seed sowing to the sale of finished products on the black market.

The central element of this criminal scheme was meticulously equipped cannabis plantations located in rented garages. The suspects demonstrated significant ingenuity, transforming ordinary garage spaces into high-tech greenhouses.

According to case materials, the plantations were equipped with automatic irrigation systems, powerful lighting to create optimal growth conditions for the plants, and efficient ventilation to control the microclimate and prevent detection of the plantation. Investments in creating and maintaining the plantation infrastructure are estimated to be substantial.

The harvested cannabis was carefully processed into drug raw materials. The investigation established that the suspects possessed knowledge and skills in drying, grinding, and preparing cannabis for further distribution.

The processing aimed to maximize the extraction of the narcotic substance and prepare it for sale in a consumer-friendly form. The amount of finished products was significant, indicating the scale of the criminal operation.

Packaging and preparation for sale were executed with equal meticulousness. The suspects employed special methods of packaging and disguising the drugs to evade detection by law enforcement.

During searches conducted as part of the investigation, law enforcement uncovered and seized physical evidence confirming the scale of the criminal activities. Over 3.5 kg of ready-to-sell cannabis was confiscated.

Additionally, around 3000 cannabis plants at various stages of maturity were seized, indicating a continuous cycle of cultivation and ongoing operation of the plantations. Furthermore, weapons and specialized equipment used for the cultivation and processing of cannabis were discovered and confiscated. The value of the seized items on the black market is estimated at 2 million hryvnias, highlighting the significant financial gains obtained by criminals from their illegal activities.
