Ukrainians scammed out of 3 million hryvnias: organizers of a fraudulent call center in Dnipro are set to face trial.

Prosecutors have submitted a case to the court concerning the co-organizer and two participants of a fraudulent group operating in the occupied territory of Donbas. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation revealed that the perpetrators established a call center, through which they extorted money by manipulating phone numbers. Posing as bank security service employees, they deceived individuals by informing them about "suspicious transactions" and gained access to their online banking accounts.

Subsequently, the funds were transferred to third parties known as "drops" and were then cashed out.

The victims include 24 Ukrainians, who collectively lost over 3 million hryvnias. The accused face penalties under parts 4 and 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code.
