The Babushkinsky District Court of Dnipro has made a decision to forcibly summon People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko to a court hearing. This session will take place today, December 23, 2024, as reported by "Vidomo".
This decision was made due to the deputy's failure to appear at previous hearings related to the case, where he is accused of unlawfully depriving a former serviceman of his liberty.
The incident occurred in June of this year when Tyshchenko, along with a group of individuals, detained a man during an action against allegedly illegal call centers. The victim was held against his will, which served as the basis for the judicial investigation.
Previously, the court imposed a measure of restraint on Tyshchenko in the form of round-the-clock house arrest; however, the deputy repeatedly ignored court summonses, leading to the decision for a forced summons.
This is the first instance in the history of Ukrainian judicial practice where a people's deputy is forcibly brought to court.
The hearing will take place at the Babushkinsky District Court of Dnipro at the address: 57 Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue, at 11:00 in room 210. Case number 932/12656/24, defendants: Mykola Tyshchenko (part 3 of article 27, part 2 of article 146 of the Criminal Code) and Borys Pisarenko (part 2 of article 146, part 2 of article 365 of the Criminal Code).
