In Dnipro, an armed man caused a real uproar, threatening and shooting at workers from the local water utility. The incident occurred on January 28, 2025, in the central part of the city. This was reported by "Vidomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On Slavyanskaya Street in the Soborny district, a group of water utility workers was conducting routine repair work when an unknown man approached them. According to preliminary information, he emerged from a house located across the street. He behaved aggressively, using foul language and threatening the workers with physical harm, after which the threats escalated into more serious actions - the man drew a weapon and fired a shot into the air.

Fortunately, none of the water utility workers were harmed. Information about the incident was reported to law enforcement. The police quickly identified the aggressor and conducted the necessary investigative actions.

During operational-search activities, officers from the Dnipro District Police Department searched the suspect's home. During the search, physical evidence was found confirming the detainee's involvement in the incident. Among the seized items was a gun with signs of modification, cartridges for it, and an air rifle.

The detained man was taken to the police station in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On January 29, the detainee was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). This article prescribes a rather severe punishment — imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
