In Dnipro, a con artist was stealing from elderly pensioners.

In Dnipro, law enforcement officials have reported suspicions against a 38-year-old man for a series of property crimes targeting elderly individuals. This information comes from "Vidomo," referencing the National Police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the first incident, the suspect entered a pensioner's home under the guise of checking the meter and stole from her. In another case, he deceived an 82-year-old grandfather: under the pretense of exchanging money, the perpetrator left the victim with "souvenir" bills.

Both crimes occurred in 2024, at the end of November and on December 4. After committing the offenses, the suspect hid from the police in a rented apartment in Odesa, where he was apprehended by criminal police officers.

Investigators informed the man of his suspicions under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – part 2 of article 190 (fraud) and part 4 of article 185 (theft).
