In Dnipropetrovsk region, a soldier embezzled night vision devices worth 4 million hryvnias (PHOTO)

In Dnipropetrovsk region, employees of the State Bureau of Investigations apprehended the deputy commander of a military unit who embezzled night vision devices valued at nearly 4 million hryvnias. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the press service of DBR.

It has been established that the deputy commander, responsible for logistics in the unit, decided to misappropriate the valuable equipment. In the documentation he prepared, it was noted that 24 night vision devices were reported lost in combat conditions. The total value of the equipment is almost 4 million hryvnias.

In reality, he ordered his subordinates to conceal the assets in a pile of garbage at one of the warehouses.

During searches at the locations of the military unit, particularly in its storage facilities and the residence of the suspect, physical evidence of illegal activities was seized.

The suspect has been placed in custody with the option to post bail set at 7.7 million UAH.
