In Kryvyi Rih, a robber stripped a man of his shoes and fled with his belongings: court ruling.

In Kryvyi Rih, a court sentenced a previously convicted robber who mugged a passerby in the middle of the street. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing "First Kryvorizhsky".

The incident occurred at the end of November 2020.

According to the verdict of the Central City Court of Kryvyi Rih, issued in November 2024, around 10:30 PM near the "Trampark" bus stop, a man noticed a stranger walking towards Shyrokivska Street.

He began to follow him, engaging in conversation on various topics. After covering a certain distance, he attacked his companion – striking him in the face, causing the victim to lose his balance and fall to the ground.

Taking advantage of this, he removed the sneakers from the victim's feet and snatched a bag from his shoulder, which contained:

• a mobile phone;

• a Ukrainian citizen's passport;

• a driver's license and vehicle documents;

• a certificate of a Chernobyl disaster liquidator;

• a wallet with 100 hryvnias;

• a silver cross with a crucifix.

After robbing the stranger, the thief fled the scene. The victim incurred almost 2,400 hryvnias in material damage.

In court, the man admitted his guilt and entered into an agreement with the investigation.

For a previous crime, specifically theft, he had already received a 5-year sentence, which was later replaced with 1 year of probation.
