In Nikopol, authorities are investigating a mass poisoning of dogs.

On January 20 in Nikopol, representatives from a public organization contacted law enforcement, reporting the discovery of nearly a dozen dead dogs on one of the city’s streets, as reported by "Vідомо" referencing the Nikopol District Police Department.

A forensic investigative team was dispatched to the scene to thoroughly ascertain all circumstances. Following this, investigators recorded the information in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — cruelty to animals.

The police are taking steps to identify those responsible for the unlawful actions against the animals.
