A resident of Dnipro was accused of corrupting two underage girls in Mukachevo.

In Mukachevo, a 52-year-old man has been arrested for corrupting underage girls. This was reported by the police of the Transcarpathian region, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

On February 15, a report was received on line "102" regarding the corruption of two minor children in Mukachevo.

Officers from the district police department promptly responded to the call and established that two girls, aged 10 and 11, were the victims.

The incident occurred at the home of one of the girls. While the children were resting in a room, an adult man, who was a guest of the girl's mother, entered. At one point, the perpetrator began to touch both girls.

Frightened, they fled the apartment and informed the parents of the other victim, who then sought help from the police.

Law enforcement quickly located and detained the suspect – a 52-year-old man who had moved to Mukachevo from Dnipro.

Under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, he has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigators from the Mukachevo district police classified the actions of the detained individual under part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to corruption involving a minor child. Under the procedural guidance of the district prosecutor's office, he has been notified of suspicion.

For his actions, he could face up to eight years in prison.

Juvenile prevention staff are working with the children and their families.
